How to become a member

There are two ways to become a member of the Botswana International Church of Christ.  If you are or have been a member of a church that teaches what the bible teaches regarding conversion and have been converted that biblical way, you are welcome to place membership with us after discussing your beliefs and being willing to commit to the essentials of the faith as a member of this body of believers. We may do personal bible studies with you so that you and we are better informed on the way forward and make sure that if there are areas you may just need teaching or we may need eye opening towards, they are not left unchecked.

For those seeking to know God in a better way, we offer personal bible studies to help you evaluate your walk with God and come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

The bible teaches that a person must have faith in Jesus, repent of their sins and be buried with him in baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus also teaches us that the most important thing is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.  So we expect everyone who calls themselves a Christian to have experienced a biblical conversion to Christ and to live their lives as a disciple of Jesus. We also expect that to be a member of our local family of believers, you would be willing to work with and submit to the leadership of this body of Christ.

Farther, we expect members of this family to be commited to:

- Working on loving God with all that you are

- Fellowship and fellowship meetings

- Being taught and teaching others as God has enabled you  

- Giving contribution regularly to meet the needs of the church
